Cherie M. Sutherland is an associate in the Sacramento office, whose practice focuses on commercial and complex litigation including contract disputes, business tort claims and insurance bad faith. She has handled a variety of matters including construction defect, securities litigation, premises liability and personal injury litigation.

Cherie received from California State University, Sacramento a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Government and Communication Studies in 1995 and a Master of Arts degree in Government in 2000.

Cherie worked as a legislative aide for members of the California State Assembly prior to law school. At the State Capitol, she wrote press releases, speeches and analyzed and administered legislation. She conferred her law degree from Santa Clara University Law School in 2001. She received a High Technology Law Certificate and was a member of the Honors Moot Court Board.

Cherie is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California and the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts.
